Yoga for Retirement

Yoga is ideal for older students. It is gentle and safe without the risks of high impact exercise. It is strengthening and therefore beneficial for osteoporosis. 

Yoga works gently on all the joints in body, safeguarding mobiity and even improving it. Yoga can be adapted for students who are chair bound so everyone can join in. 

Yoga keeps us mentally alert through learning better posture and deeper breathing. The practices we do are also good for coordination. 

Yoga is very effective at releasing tension and is a fun group activity, all of which lift our mood. 

I already run a regular private class in a retirement community which the students are really enjoying.
