The Space Upstairs, Heartbreak Productions, Spencer Yard, Spencer St, CV31 3SY
The Space Upstairs in Spencer Yard is a lovely space in the heart of Leamington's Old Town, just over the river from Leamington Art Gallery and Pump Rooms and directly opposite to Leamington Assembly (not to be confused with the Assembly Rooms) on Spencer St, also next to The Loft theatre. It is poorly signposted but the space itself is a haven - quiet, spacious and airy so well worth persisting. It's also a warm room which makes yoga practice here a pleasure!
Spencer Yard can be accessed from Spencer St only. There is no public parking in the yard until 6pm but there is ample bike parking. You will need to walk through into the yard, either from the alleyway next to The Avenue pub which leads into the small car park area then into the yard itself, or you can walk through the black gates next to big white ex-church building on Spencer St and down the alley straight into the yard. If the gate is locked just walk another 15 metres to the alleyway by the pub.
There are glass doors in the reception area in the corner of Spencer Yard. Do not try to enter by these as they are locked but instead use the blue door to the right of the reception. These doors will be open 10-15 minutes before the class and lead straight up the stairs that take you into the yoga hall. The Space Upstairs is in the two storey building and not the single storey building used by the fabulous Leamington dance company Motionhouse.
I usually keep the upstairs doors to the hall open for a few minutes after the class start. You can still join in after the doors are closed but please make eye contact me through the glass first so that I can find a suitable time for you to join if the class has started to cause least disturbance to other students.
